[color=red]Mystik Man & Eshamanjaro - 'Cheshire Cat/Cheshire Cat Gella Remix'[/color]
Fresh from his last electronic album project, Mark ‘Merka’ Ford has teamed up with friend & MC extraordinaire Esher to form the Hip Hop collective – Mystic Man & Eshamanjaro. As well as putting in stellar remixes for the Dub Pistols, Unique 3 & Blatta & Inesha, Mr. Ford has already made an impact on the dance scene under the Merka moniker, with his debut album - ‘Beserka’ touted by iDJ Magazine as, ‘...one of the most interesting and captivating albums the scene has ever produced...’ Not one to be pigeonholed in anyway he is now turning his hand to the hip-hop scene with his new album ‘In Heavy Weather’. Set for a release early next year this particular venture sees Mark hook up with long time friend and fellow philosopher of life Jon Driver aka Eshamanjaro, who takes time out from studying his PHD in Philosophy of Mental Disorder (I’m not joking) to bring a fresh UK flow to Mystic Man’s soulful Hip-Hop fused beats. With their first single – Chesire Cat this collective effort has, once again, created a complex & intriguing cut that will compel even the most cynical hip-hop fan to stand up and take notice, whilst still appealing to Ford’s growing body of dedicated Merka followers. If you like your beats a bit harder and funkier then check out the remix by all-round music maestro and new boy to Fat! Records Gella, who steps up with a bass-fused electronic monster. Preparing himself for a full blown assault on the music industry next year and having already put in remixes for Unique 3 & Baobinga & I.D, Gella has applied his generous helping of production talent to ‘Cheshire Cat’, serving up a distorted funk re-edit set to have the clubs rocking in the very near future.
