Reggae Roast is a monthly Sunday session dedicated to live reggae music and good times in a relaxed yet vibrant environment.
The combination of DJs and live singers ensures an interactive atmosphere, which always results in a packed dance floor. The vibe at Reggae Roast is always positive with a good-natured crowd of all ages from across London. This month Reggae Roast has moved to the fabulous BIG CHILL HOUSE for another bank holiday special. THE BIG CHILL HOUSE provides a quality FUNKTION ONE sound system as well as a south facing roof terrace (for smokers and sun bathers) comfy seating areas, a mouth watering roast dinner, fresh artwork and loving attention to comfort in all the bars little nooks and crannies... As well as our fabulous new venue this month we have pulled out all the stops and hand picked some of Londons most heavy-weight DJs to entertain you throughout the day/night. DOM (NEXTMEN) LOUIS SLIPPERZ (TASKFORCE/RAW DOG) DASHA (RODIGAN JNR) SHEPDOG (NICE UP!) MOODIE (REGGAE ROAST) EXEL (DEVIATE) JOE LICKSHOT (REGGAE ROAST) BUSTAWIDEMOVE (NRFTW) GREEDY JOE (REGGAE ROAST) You may have heard of THE NEXTMEN. In fact, unless you’ve been captive in Guantanamo Bay for the most of the 90s, we’d bet you’d definitely heard of them and more than likely witnessed them at one of their many festival-stopping summer performance. We have managed to arrange an exclusive Reggae set from DOM one half of the killer duo who have been rockin’ shows across the globe since day one. http://www.myspace.com/thenextmen For another massive bank holiday treat we bring you DJ LOUIS SLIPPERZ from the Legendary kings of UK Hip-Hop TASKFORCE. Expect a range of deep roots selections from this veteran vinyl junkie with a record collection most DJs can only dream of.... http://www.myspace.com/louisslipperz We have also secured an appearance from DJ DASHA AKA RODIGAN JNR from the mighty FOCUS THEORY collective. DASHA has been causing a stir across the UK this year so expect a killer mix of anything from old style roots to cutting edge Dubstep in one of his dance floor filling sets. As if that wasn't enough we have also booked the big and bold DJ SHEPDOG founder of the NICE UP! empire. He has been rocking jams at venues such as The End and Fabric for donkeys years, a true vet with a big bag of bangers. Our very own “vibes machine” DADDY CHESTER will be hosting the proceedings with special guests RAMON JUDAH and MC ISHU while REGGAE ROAST residents EXEL, MOODIE and GREEDY JOE play an explosive mix of Roots, Ska, Dub, Dancehall and Dubstep to keep you grooving all night. This month we have arranged a special late license until 2am to ensure you make the most of your bank holiday weekend.
